New
York, the Big Apple, has always been a spectacular city of larger than
life characters. One of the greatest periods in the history of the
metropolis came just after the Second World War when the US economy was
driving America towards its status as the world’s leading nation. During
this special time (1945-1960), photographer Todd Webb captured the real
essence of New York with a marvellous collection of fascinating black
and white photos.
