oldest English-language University, erected almost a 1000 years ago, in
1167. Today, it is still considered one of the top 10 universities in

A common mistake made by newcoming
tourists to Oxford is to ask direction to the campus of the famous
university. It actually has not one centralized campus but over 40
schools spread throughout the city.

colleges, which have produced many a famous allumni, such as presidents
and other famous statesmen as well as scholars , scientists, writers,
Nobel laureates and others.

has been a home to scholars and royalty alike. During the 17th century
it was the seat of court used by King Charles I.
