Beginning her musical career as a gospel singer at just 18 years of age, Aretha Franklin went on to record some of the biggest hits on the 20^th century, including  ‘I Say a Little Prayer,’ ‘Spanish Harlem,’ and ‘Respect,’ with the latter quickly becoming her signature song.
