Life at Fort Knox in 1942 Captured In Full Color

1940, the United States had not yet joined the fray in World War II.
Nevertheless, the former 7th Cavalry Brigade was reorganized into the
1st Armored Division. Over the next two years, American engineers and
factories rushed to design and build new tanks to supply to the new
division based at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The incredible photos you're
about to see were captured in 1942 by Office of War Information
photographer Alfred T. Palmer, and shows soldiers in the division
training with their new equipment. They were shot in 4x5 color film, and
I guarantee you that these are among the most striking World War II
photos you will ever see:
