Artist Emily McDowell’s new line of
‘Empathy Cards’ is a personal triumph. At 24, Emily was diagnosed with
Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As a cancer survivor, Emily wanted to create a
series of cards that authentically communicated about suffering and
illness. When she was sick, she found her friends and family struggled
to find the right words to say and disappeared. These witty cards offer
personal, warm and funny messages for those who don’t know what to say.
